Integration Update: Close with Zapier greatly improved
Close has been integrated with Zapier for quite some time. If you aren't familiar with Zapier, it's a tool to help you connect various web services (including Close) with each other to allow for thousands of possible integrations.
We're happy to announce that the Close/Zapier integration has been greatly improved. If you've ever tried to use Zapier for Close in the past but found it a bit too limited, it's worth checking out again.
Here's a list of specific improvements that were made.
Triggers: (do something based upon an action in Close)
- "New Lead" Trigger improvements:
- Allow users to use their saved searches and custom search query
- Ensure that Zapier deduplication works properly by always adding "sort:-created"
- "New Task" Trigger improvements:
- Added fields to filter by "Assigned To User" and "Is Complete"
- Lead & contact information fields are available to push elsewhere
- "New Opportunity" Trigger improvements:
- Added fields to filter by "Assigned To User", "Status" (dropdown), "Value period"
- Lead & contact information fields are available to push elsewhere
Actions: (do something in Close based on an action elsewhere)
- "New Lead" Action was improved:
- The "status" field is now a dynamic dropdown to make it easier
- Ability to push data to each custom field easily
- Ability to create a Note (at the time of Lead creation)
- Ability to create opportunities with the "New Opportunity" Action
- Ability to create tasks with the "New Task" Action
We also have some ideas/plans for additional improvements. If you have any requests for additional Close/Zapier functionality, please let us both know.
