Integration Update: Close with Zapier greatly improved ... again

Last year we released some improvements to our Zapier integration. Since then we have been hearing your feedback and requests.

We are now proud to announce a new release of improvements and additions that greatly increase the ways you can integrate with Close via Zapier.

Perhaps the hottest news is that along with triggers and actions, Zapier now offers "searches". We are one of the first Zapier integrations to use the searches feature to let you search for leads.

You can use a "search lead" step to lookup a lead by name, email, URL or via a free-query. In case no lead is found, you have the option to contextually create one. In both cases, the lead values are made available to setup the Zap action.

We have also upgraded all our actions to support another new awesome Zapier feature: Multi-Step Zaps. This means you’ll be able to execute more than 1 action in sequence.

We have introduced 6 new triggers:

  • new note
  • new call
  • new contact
  • new lead status change
  • new opportunity status change
  • new export

We have also added 3 new actions that let you add a:

  • new note
  • new call
  • new contact

We have improved the existing "new lead" action:

  • added fields for each phone type (Office, Home, Fax, etc)
  • added fields for each email type (Office, Home, Fax, etc)
  • added the ability to contextually create a new opportunity with a new lead
  • added the ability to contextually create a new task with a new lead

When matched with triggers that send multiple items of the same kind ("line items" in Zapier lingo), the improved "new lead" action can handle the creation of multiple contacts, opportunities or tasks.

Finally, all of our triggers should have fields containing lead contact data.

If you have any questions or feedback please feel free to reach out to our support team (support@close.io) as well as Zapier's (contact@zapier.com).
